An Introduction to Network Resilience

An Introduction to Network Resilience

It is clear that the scale of delivery across the West Midlands over the next 10 years is significant, with a level of transport infrastructure investment not seen for several decades. This will bring its own challenges as there is a need to balance keeping the local and national economy running during these works, whilst also allowing for major sporting events including the Commonwealth Games in 2022 during the period of unprecedented levels of works across the all transport networks.

Anne Shaw, Director of Network Resilience, Transport for West Midlands will provide an overview of the challenges ahead and how TfWM, working in partnership with the local Authorities and Highways England, will tackle these challenges, along with dealing with key issues such as air quality and congestion problems.

Time: 5pm for 5.30pm Start
Date: Tuesday 6th March 2018
Venue: Room 116 TfWM Offices, 16 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B19 3SD
