The Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation, North East & Cumbria Region, alongside the Transport Planning Society, are pleased to announce the "An Introduction To..." seminar series.
Aimed at those wishing to achieve TPP, CEng, IEng or EngTech qualifications, or following the TPS Professional Development Scheme, this series has been created with the assistance of reviewers within both CIHT and TPS. In addition, it is accredited CPD time, and offers an overview of all the core competencies you require an “Awareness” of. Each presenter has been handpicked for their expertise in their subject, and will be available after each session for further questions and to assist members with their pursuits.
This session, entitled, "An Introduction to Transport Business Cases" will see David Arthur, a Regional Director at AECOM, talk about the DfT's 5-case assurance framework that has become the standard for assessing the viability of major transport schemes, in terms of their strategic policy alignment, economic value-for-money, and deliverability.
