Our Autumn seminar this year will focus upon intelligent mobility.
Greg Marsden from ITS Leeds will describe recent research around ‘flexi-mobility’ which shows that lifestyles and travel patterns are changing profoundly and future transport planning needs to recognise and understand these changes to successfully promote more sustainable travel choices.
Martin Higgitt from JMP will present ideas on how emerging technologies can be better used to promote sustainable travel options, providing customers with a ‘personal mobility manager’.
Simon Linley from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority will talk about the work the authority is doing with transport operators to roll-out smartcard ticketing as part of a wider programme known as the Smartcard and Information Programme. The programme aims to transform the customer experience via seven inter-related projects relating to website content management, smartcard ticketing, customer relationship management, enhanced customer travel information, efficient and effective data management and 24/7 support..
