 
                
CIHT Northern Ireland are delighted to welcome this webinar looking at the past, present and future of Belfast International Airport.
 
Will cover the history of the airport from its construction as an RAF base in WW1, through its expansion in the 60s,70s & 80s, the arrival of low cost carriers and its current ownership under Vinci.
We will also discuss current infrastructure with a focus on runways, aprons and taxiways and what the future holds.
 
                        This event is open to all and will have a general engineering interest, with emphasis on pavement works and airport users.
 
Chris graduated in Civil Engineering from QUB in 1992. He worked seven years at Feguson & Ilveen working on water and sewayge schemes, and seven years with NICS working on WaterNI, CPD and Roads Service.
Chris also has thirteen years experience with Belfast City Airport as a Capital Projects Manager and five years with Belfast International Airport as a Projects Director and CTO.
