This evening presentation co-hosted by the Roads and Transportation society and the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation will provide an overview of the BusConnects project and in particular the case for BusConnects Infrastructure Dublin (BCID). This programme aims to upgrade sixteen core bus corridors to achieve bus priority and enhances pedestrian and cycling facilities. Speaker John Fleming will cover the BCID delivery structure, the case for the Programme, and update attendees in the current status of the planning process, including a summary of emerging route plans, consideration regarding the construction strategy and the public consultation challenges.
John, Fleming is Bus Connects Infrastructure Director with the National Transport Authority. He has over 35 years’ experience in project and programme management of major roads/transport schemes in Ireland, United Kingdom, and the United States.
