CEng/IEng – Getting Started Workshop
Speakers: Chris Bell and Richard Llewellyn
Date: Wednesday 25 November 2015
Time: 1800 - 1930
Venue: Room F12, Merchiston Campus, Edinburgh Napier University
Becoming a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer is a career goal for many highways and transportation professionals. If you haven’t got started yet or perhaps if your earlier efforts have stalled, there is no time like the present to get going!
This workshop will concentrate what to expect from the CEng/IEng professional review process. The focus will be on the most effective ways to apply for the appropriate route, plan your development, prepare your Portfolio of Evidence and begin the initial preparations for the interview. Note that a further more detailed session will be held early next year for those who are about to sit the review.
The workshop will be run by Chris Bell, an experienced Professional Reviewer, who will take workshop participants through the following:-
• Awareness of UK Standard for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC);
• Identifying your strengths and weaknesses with regard to the competencies;
• What to include in your Portfolio of Evidence;
• Common pitfalls; and
• Question and answer session.
Demand for this event is expected to be high and numbers are restricted, therefore registration will be required to secure your place.
Please contact Richard Llewellyn with your details, indicating whether you wish to attend at the venue or online and availability will be confirmed accordingly.
