The CIHT Annual Luncheon is the largest event in the CIHT calendar. It is the perfect opportunity for CIHT members to invite their valued guests to a grand event and network with other members and professionals in the industry.
We have over 1,800 bookings for the highways and transportation event of the year.
Renowned through the industry as THE event of the year, attendees will be entertained by guest speakers and will also have the opportunity to catch up with industry colleagues either before or after the Luncheon.
Every year the Annual Luncheon is a sell out event. Make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Milton Jones is a Perrier and Sony award-winning comedian, whose wordplay and surreal observations frequently reduce audiences to tears. The panel show regular and writer and star of Radio 4 series Another Case of Milton Jones, Thanks a Lot, Milton Jones!, and The Very World of Milton Jones describes his live act as ‘weaving threads of ideas with the tatters of his life, to fashion a uniquely fetching jumper of obscurity’ – whatever that means.
Milton conjures up truly ridiculous images and finds hidden meaning in the most mundane phrases. He twists logic, mistakes handkerchiefs for ghosts – and waits whilst the penny drops. He is also never short of valuable advice: ‘If you’re being chased by a police dog, try not to go through a tunnel, then onto a little seesaw, then jump through a hoop of fire. They train for that.’
Milton’s wonderful use of language has been showcased repeatedly on Radio 4 (with nine series of his own show), but has also been seen on Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, and Mock the Week, as well as in his first novel, Where Do Comedians Go When They Die? He’s also been a regular writer on BBC1’s hit Not Going Out.
The deadline for submitting your guests names for the booklet has now passed. Any names now sent to the events team will not be reflected in the booklet this year.
The deadline for submitting your final guest lists, if different from what you have already provided, is 2 December 2022. Any names submitted after this date will not be reflected in the place cards and dietary requirements may not be able to be met by the hotel.
Please complete the below spreadsheet with the requested information listed to ensure the CIHT Events Team are aware of your table plan and any guest requirements so that we can relay this information to the hotel.
The layout of your table will be formed based on the information you provide in your guest list. The table host will have the main seat facing the stage and the rest of the list will work its way clockwise from the hosts seat back to the start.

Grosvenor House Hotel offers a service which allows you the opportunity to entertain your guests prior to the Luncheon either by booking a smaller hosted bar in the Ballroom with other companies, or alternatively you can hire a private suite. All hosted bars should be booked by 9th December.

You will then be given access and login details to the drinks portal where you can place your orders ahead of the event. There will, however, also be a bar on the night available to guests.
Please note that your booking does not include any beverages as part of the package. All drinks are to be booked separately with the hotel or on the day of the event.
