The CIHT East Midlands Dinner & Awards will return in 2018 on Friday 26 October at the Nottingham Belfry hotel. The event recognises the excellent achievements of those working in highways and transportation in the East Midlands and is set to be bigger than ever before with an evening of entertainment and celebration. We are also honoured to be joined by CIHT President Matthew Lugg for the evening.

This award is aimed at individual projects, large or small, that are outstanding examples of transportation or highway schemes, which have been delivered substantially on time and to budget, and which have made a major contribution to efficiency, accessibility or transport choices in the local community and/or nationally.

Best Highways and Transportation Project Award
This award recognises outstanding examples of new developments or initiatives from across the highways and transportation sector in the East Midlands region that make a significant contribution to the health & safety of employees and/or the sustainability of society.

Health & Safety or Sustainability Award
The award is eligible to individuals with less than 10 years’ experience in highways or transportation who have made a valuable contribution to highways or transportation in the East Midlands and who have established themselves as a positive role model for the industry.

This award is for innovative problem solving within the highways and transportation industry either developed or implemented in the East Midlands region. Its purpose is to recognise and encourage advancements in our industry through turning imaginative concepts into practice whether in approach, specification, design, on-site practice, processes, systems, materials or any other aspect related to highways and transportation.

Innovation in Highways and Transportation Award
The evening’s entertainment will be provided by David Fox Magic. David has over a decade of experience and is proud member of both the Magic Circle and Equity, in order to gain entrance to the prestigious Magic Circle a magician must first pass a stringent examination.
