This event will provide an overview of EngTech followed by a question and answer session. Come along and find out more at this informal, friendly event. Suitable for those considering EngTech, mentors or anyone else interested in finding out more about EngTech. Non-members welcome.
Background
You can now gain Engineering Technician (EngTech) status through the CIHT following recent accreditation from the Engineering Council. Engineering Technicians play a crucial role in a range of jobs across the transportation sector. The post-nominal letters ‘EngTech’ are nationally and internationally recognised as a standard of competence and are highly valued in the industry. Gaining EngTech also provides you with the opportunity to register with the Engineering Council as an Engineering Technician.
The EngTech award clearly demonstrates that the holder has experience, drive and commitment and is a skilled, registered professional. EngTech also provides individuals with the opportunity to develop their career; as they progress in their profession they may choose to become qualified as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or a Chartered Engineer (CEng).
