Join CIHT for this masterclass on funding, which will cover the importance of adopting a long-term funding model for the local highway network.
Local roads represent the UK’s most extensive, heavily used, and under maintained infrastructure asset, making up 99% of the total road network and carrying 66% of all motor traffic vehicle miles in England.
Despite their critical importance to individuals, communities, and businesses—and a notional asset value exceeding £400 billion local roads remain subject to short-term, fragmented funding from different sources and funding pots. Following CIHT's recent report calling for long-term funding for local roads, this CIHT masterclass on funding will discuss the topic of highways funding models.
You will hear from speakers discussing the benefits of long-term funding and highlighting experiences and lessons learned from different funding models in the highways sector.
This masterclass is open to all CIHT members, CIHT partner employees and non-members. This masterclass is free for all CIHT Members to attend and is charged for CIHT Partner Employees and non-members.
