CIHT North East & Cumbria are excited to offer this charity coast-to-coast cycling event, for members and non-members in the region.
Any issues with bookings, please contact regions@ciht.org.uk.
We are delighted to announce the return of the CIHT North East & Cumbria Coast to Coast Bike Ride where you will take in some breathtaking views and energy sapping hills over the course of 3 days.
You will have the opportunity to network, build connections, and learn more about active travel - a recent survey of the Coast to Coast route, undertaken by Sustrans, will form a key topic for discussion along the route. The group are expected to learn about all forms of Active Travel Infrastructure using a hands on approach.
Who is the event for
The event is open to anyone within the Highways and Transportation sector with a road bike, mountain bike, hybrid or E bike. There may be an element of competition from some riders on the climbs but for the most part this is very much a social ride with an emphasis on enjoyment to take on the route at your own pace. As we are raising money for charity (charity TBC), one of the days is likely to take the form of fancy dress as we turn a few heads along the quayside.
Cost
£175 per person (includes travel to Whitehaven, accommodation for 2 nights)
