Stretching from Swindon to Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire to Hertfordshire, EEH provides leadership on strategic infrastructure issues, in particular those relating to transport, digital connectivity and utilities. He is a past Chairman of the Transport Planning Society and a Council member for the National Infrastructure Planning Association. A naturally inquisitive nature has meant that Martin has always been open to challenging received wisdom and to learn from others about how together they can make a difference. He passionately believes in the key role that professionals have to play in making a difference.
Ian Robinson, Service Manager at Tarmac
Ian is currently Service Manager within Tarmac’s highway maintenance business, responsible for all operations and maintenance activities on the Mersey Gateway. Prior to this he held various roles with Balfour Beatty and Amey working in term maintenance, asset support and PFI environments; having started his career as a traffic signal designer and transport planner. Most recently Ian has been part of the consortium that has secured the concession to design, build, finance and operate sections five and six of the A465 in South Wales.
In addition, Ian was also a member of the Highway Term Maintenance Association’s health, safety and well-being advisory group that worked across the industry to raise standards and participation in keeping our people safe.
