Annual Conference : Facing the Challenges; Easing Congestion; and Delivering Meaningful Transport Projects
This year’s CIHT Republic of Ireland conference will deliver timely information and lively debate on the challenges which face planning and transport professionals in integrating transport and land use, easing congestion and delivering large infrastructure projects and maintenance commissions.
The conference will explore three strands:
Strand 1 – Focus on Public Transport and Strategies
Strand 2 – Road Projects and Maintenance
Strand 3 – Panel discussion "sharing road space, pedestrian, cyclists, public transport and private vehicles"
This event is endorsed by CIHT and Engineers Ireland for CIPD.
The day will start with a plenary session with speakers from key national transport policy organisations before providing the participants with the opportunity to explore key areas of transport policy and delivery through breakout sessions covering:
Following the breakout sessions, you will have an opportunity to join together and engage with leaders in the fields of: academia; the public sector; consultancy; cycle advocacy; and, business, through a panel discussion and debate. The purpose of the discussion will be to identify solutions and encourage alternative and imaginative new ideas and broadening our thinking.
This conference is a forum for the exchange and dissemination of technical advances as well as exchanges of experiences and ideas among engineers, planners, academics, researchers, developers, regulatory agents and project managers.
A networking lunch will be provided. CIHT Certified CPD will be awarded to attendees.
