Join us for the 2023 CIHT South East Region Annual General Meeting.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the CIHT South East Region will hold its Annual General Meeting at 17.30 to 18.30 on Thursday 25 May 2023.
We invite all voting members of the region to join us.
The AGM offers us an opportunity to reflect on the past year and look forward to the next. It also provides an opportunity for CIHT members to hear about and get involved in the South East region’s activities.
The AGM will see the region’s Chair reflect on the past year and the successes of the region. The AGM will see the election of new committee members and will also see the appointment of the Chair and Officers to take forward the region’s plans for the next year.
If you wish to join the AGM, please use the 'book a place' button on this page, so that you can book your place to attend. Once you have booked your place via this webpage, you will receive a confirmation email.
The venue will be available from 17.00, with the AGM taking place at 17.30 to 18.30. This will be followed by a CIHT South East regional event from 19.00.
There are lots of benefits of getting involved with your local committee; CIHT’s regions and nations play a critical role for the Institution, acting as a focal point for members to meet and share their experiences locally. The regions and nations organise an annual programme of activities, which include CPD opportunities, seminars, site visits and social events. A more formal announcement will be made in the forthcoming weeks with details of the proposed elected office bearers and ordinary members of the committee.
Prior to this, we would welcome applications for new members of the CIHT South East Regional Committee to keep us fresh, focused and relevant to our membership. So if you a member of CIHT, and would like to take a proactive and voluntary role in helping run the local South East Region please get in touch. We look to include a broad representation from across the relevant sectors – central and local government, private sector consultancy, contractors and academia.
We would particularly welcome interest from emerging professionals who are either starting out in their career or who have recently become professional qualified. Involvement in the committee will count towards Continuing Professional Development and can lead in the longer term to involvement in national CIHT activities.
Nominations to join the committee can be made using the regional committee nomination form. Applications should be supported by four regional members and completed with a declaration by you the candidate to show you are willing to stand.
This is a hybrid meeting, if you are unable to attend in person, you will receive a Teams meeting link via email upon booking.
