Speakers

Amber Kenyon

Mott MacDonald
Senior Transport Planner

Since joining Mott MacDonald, I have worked solely on active travel projects. These projects have varied hugely in terms of scale and location, from looking and cycling networks across the whole of West Yorkshire to connecting villages and towns in Snowdonia National Park. I have therefore looked at providing active travel infrastructure in both urban and rural areas and have become aware of the challenges with both. In my spare time, I am a keen cyclist and love a good countryside walk too!

Jose Almendros

Mott MacDonald
Senior Transport Planner

Jose’s background is in public transport planning and big urban renewal projects. Most recently, he has been working on designing cycle routes and school streets. He is passionate about creating cities for everyone by focusing on diversity and care and loves a slow and quiet bike ride on a sunny weekend.

Glyn Evans

Transport for Wales
Active Travel Lead - North Wales

As TfW’s Active Travel Lead in North Wales my role involves co-ordinating and leading active travel programmes across the region, working in partnership with various TfW departments, the north & mid Wales local authorities and stakeholders to deliver the North Wales Metro programme. I provide advice and support to local authorities to enable them to achieve their active travel ambitions and manage a range of active travel projects within the North Wales Metro programme and contribute to the planning and development of wider transport projects across the area.

As a subject matter expert, I advise members of the North Wales Metro team, local authorities and other stakeholders to enhance the development and delivery of active travel interventions in line with the Active Travel (Wales) Act and the Welsh Government. Alongside colleagues in the active travel team at TfW, I also provide advice and support to Welsh Government officials on active travel and was a key contributor to the Active Travel Act Guidance published in July 2021. More recently I have been appointed as an Advisor to the North Wales Transport Commission, working with the independent commissioners to consider the problems, opportunities, challenges, and objectives for realising a sustainable integrated transport system in North Wales.
