CIHT West Midlands is delighted to present this webinar with Darran Divall, Transport for West Midlands' Regional Road Safety Manager. The presentation will focus on transitioning from traditional to systematic road safety.
Delivering the Safe System in a Complex Political Environment:
Key learning outcomes focus around the timeframe for transition from traditional to safe system, ensuring that road safety does not work in silo to other transport objectives, and recognition of broader 2-way influences to ensure achievement. A safe system transitions the industry from ’this is a perfect system where stupid people get themselves killed’ to ‘this is a stupid system where normal peoples get killed'.
The presentation is targeted towards a broad range of transport professionals involved, contributing towards the implementation of a Safe System, whether they realise it or not.
