This online seminar, presented jointly by CIHT Dubai and CILT UAE, will provide an overview of the role of Construction Management Plans to creatively manage delivery and other construction related traffic.
The event will begin at 18:00 UAE time and 15:00 BST.
Construction Management Planning is a key tool for regulating traffic impacts during the construction phase of new land use and infrastructure development. With increasing pressure to manage traffic within urban centresand other sensitive locations, coupled with advocacy of environmental protection and maintaining access for pedestrians and cyclists, the creation of SMART Construction Management Plans is becoming increasingly necessary to secure planning approvals.
This seminar, held jointly by CIHT Dubai and CILT UAE, will provide an overview of the role of Construction Management Plans to creatively manage delivery and other construction related traffic and maintain network accessibility without compromising the build process and ensuring that solutions are affordable and efficient. Dovetailing of
Construction Management Plans with wider supply chain practices is also a key aspect to be addressed by developers and city planners. With the raft of new developments and transport infrastructure under construction or being planned across the United Arab Emirates and GCC, Construction Management Planning is a potentially important new discipline which needs to be introduced and adopted at scale, and should form part of the future development control and planning process for major schemes.
