This technical visit will present the project background and scope of works, innovation initiatives for the construction.
Terminal 2 (T2) Expansion is one of the core projects of the Three-runway System. The works include the construction of T2, North Annex Building (NAB) and Ground Transportation Centre (GTC) with interconnecting bridges, landside transport infrastructure including viaducts and at grade roads, underground utility services, one sewage pumping station with the associated electrical building, footbridges, external works and modification works to existing facilities. The project widely adopts BIM technology and other innovative construction solutions including cloud-based data platform and DfMA.
Queries such as the practicality, cost, efficiency and safety of those innovation initiatives, etc. may be raised at the visit.
This technical seminar is tailored to cater to civil engineers of all levels, including those at various grades.

Vincent Lee - Senior Construction Manager, Gammon Construction Vincent is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil and Structural) with over 20 years of experience in construction management, project delivery, commercial management, and practical design. Since joining Gammon in 1997, Vincent has been involved in large-scale construction projects, including foundations, deep excavation, sewage tunnels, viaducts, and airport infrastructure. Notably, Vincent has extensive experience working in the airport environment and has successfully delivered complex projects, such as the Midfield Concourse Works and the on-going Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2 Expansion project. In addition, Vincent is an Authorized Signatory under the Building Ordinance and an Accredited NEC4 Project Manager. |
This technical visit will be limited to maximum 28 participants who are selected on a first-come first-served basis and online registration is required. Priority will be given to CIHT members. PPE, helmet and safety boots are required for the visit. All successful applicants will be notified by email.
