Lunchtime webinar led by SoRSA. This webinar will look at the events involved in traffic collisions and interventions aimed at reducing risks of collisions. The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A session.
A key element of road safety engineering and road safety auditing is understanding the events leading up to, during and after a collision.
This presentation will look at the factors that often conspire together to result in road traffic collisions and considers highways and traffic engineering interventions aimed at reducing the risk of a collision and severity of injuries.
This is primarily for SoRSA members of any role or level, but we also encourage those who are interested in the subject to attend.
Eric has worked within highways, traffic and road safety engineering in both private and public sectors for over 28 years, and is the representative for Scotland on the SoRSA Committee.
Eric has spent significant amount of his career in road traffic collision investigation and developing solutions to reduce casualty numbers and casualty severity.
Eric also have over 18 years’ experience with Police Scotland as a Special Constable attached to the Roads Policing Unit in Perth and has been a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists for over 24 years with over 10 years’ experience preparing candidates for the Institute of Advanced Motorists advanced driving test.
This has given him a multi-disciplinary approach to road safety, seeing it through the eyes of Engineering, Enforcement and Engineering.
