CIHT Scotland is delighted to join with CILT to bring you this webinar which will focus on Crossrail International (CI), a specialist advisory practice, wholly owned by the UK government’s Department for Transport (DfT), that provides strategic advice globally to client organisations developing and delivering complex rail schemes.
Keith Wallace brings to his role as its chair over forty years of railway experience as a consultant, including at Scott Wilson where he was instrumental in delivering the Borders Railway, and in operating roles which included heading up Caledonian Sleeper. Now he is exporting to other countries the expertise amassed in building London’s Elizabeth Line, biggest urban railway construction project in Europe, which by connecting Reading and Heathrow via Paddington and Liverpool Street with Abbey Wood and Shenfield is greatly easing cross-London journeys and thus facilitating the UK’s post-Covid economic recovery. Clients include metros in Tel Aviv and Indonesia, Californian high-speed rail and project management offices in Lima, showing that knowledge can successfully cross frontiers and fly the flag for Britain’s place in the world of mass-transit achievement.
The webinar will be jointly held with CILT Scotland and places can be booked via the CILT website with no charge for CIHT members: https://ciltuk.org.uk/Events/Event-Details/dateid/5137
