CROSSRAIL ROUTE PLANNING AND STATIONS

A Greater London Branch Presentation

Date: Wednesday 23rd March, 2011 (6:00 pm for 6:30 pm start)
Venue: Arup, 8 Fitzroy Street, London, W1T 4BQ
Tube: Goodge Street / Warren Street
Speaker: Chris Sexton, Technical Director, Crossrail

Crossrail has survived the Government's spending review and is still planned to open in 2018. In this evening presentation Chris Sexton, Technical Director at Crossrail, will give us an insight into the need for Crossrail; the route planning; the location, architectural design and complexity of stations; construction works; forecast use of the system and how it will be connected to the broader London transport network. This promises to be a fascinating evening where we will find out more about the largest and most complex underground railway to be built in the capital since the Jubilee line extension.
