Why do some transport projects get delivered whilst others get
stuck at the planning stage? This presentation looks at the ‘killer
apps’ to secure delivery including: a focus on user needs, quality in
design, political support, public funding for social benefits, and
branding and marketing. Competition for resources continues to
grow and the importance of marketing has never been greater. By
capturing the benefits of new technology to combine the killer apps
the prospects for better transport delivery continue to grow.
