Reading has been awarded £20.7m from the Department for Transport, following a successful bid to the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF).

The LSTF is a £560 million Government funding pot which local authorities nationwide have bid to for implementation of packages of measures over the next four years. Reading’s bid, which totalled £24.2 million, includes plans for a new pedestrian/ cycle bridge across the Thames, expanded Park and Ride facilities in neighbouring boroughs and a bike hire scheme.

This evening presentation will be led by Ruth Leuillette, Deputy Head of Highways & Transport at Reading Borough Council, providing an update of what the LSTF means to Reading and how the programme is progressing. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.
