Join Alan Oliver from the Standards Branch at Transport Scotland for an update on the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) review. The update will focus on:
In recent years the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges has been undergoing an extensive review process, with the intention to provide a more consistent structure, clearer and more concise information to its users, and to simplify and enable more regular future updates.
Publishing of the updates to DMRB was completed in spring 2020 and can be found at https://www.standardsforhighways.co.uk/dmrb/
Transport Scotland and the other UK devolved authorities have supported Highways England throughout the process, through document review, challenge, attendance at Technical Project Board meetings and preparation of National Annexes.
The DMRB update is a significant development and will affect project delivery across a wide range of disciplines. The session will therefore be of interest to everyone who is involved in projects following DMRB.
