Seminar on the role of Planning, Design and Engineering Solutions to counter the threat of terrorism in the built environment.
The Seminar will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Monday 23 November.
To be held at Arup, 63 St Thomas Street, Bristol, BS1 6JZ.
Eight years on from the 9/11 attacks on New York City, new draft guidance from the Home Office says the threat from terrorism remains “severe”, meaning that an attack, which could occur without warning, is “highly likely” on crowded places.
This seminar will explore the issues and considerations for planners, designers and engineers in creating solutions to the threat posed by terrorism in the built environment using examples from the South West region including the Cabot Circus development and Bristol International Airport.
Both members and non-members are welcome. Entry is free to all but seating is limited
