Dear Member
Our next event will be a presentation titled 'Designing Permeable Pavements using the SuDS philosophy' which will be presented by Robbie Langford of Marhalls.
Robbie is an Engineering graduate with over 10 years' experience in civil engineering. He has been involved in the design and detailing of many major carriageway constructions, to include ports through to residential dwellings.
Presentation:
• This seminar gives the designer detailed information on how to design and detail a permeable pavement.
• Content focuses on all the key design considerations such as rainfall events, storm patterns, traffic loading and ground conditions.
• Examples are given showing how to design a permeable pavement to cope with each of these factors from a structural and hydraulic perspective.
• Linking in with the SuDS philosophy, the seminar looks at how permeable pavements can improve water quality and the wider social benefits this brings.
• Also included are details on installation, machine lay and maintenance.
• Case study examples are given to show practicality and costings.
