Devolution and local government reorganisation are reshaping the way decisions are made, services are delivered, and investment is prioritised across England. Yet for many professionals, the scale and complexity of these changes can be difficult to navigate. This webinar will demystify the evolving devolution and local government reorganisation landscape and explore what the changes could mean in practice for the transport sector. With a particular focus on the South-East of England, the session will explore both the opportunities and challenges emerging from this period of significant change.
The webinar will be led by Owen Jenkins, Executive Director of Place at Surrey County Council and Place Theme lead for LGR in Surrey, where he is responsible for services including highways and transport, major infrastructure delivery, planning, environment, and economic growth.
Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of how this reorganisation could influence future service delivery, decision-making, funding, and strategic transport priorities. The session will conclude with a Q&A, providing an opportunity to put questions directly to Owen and discuss the issues most relevant to you and your organisation.
This event is aimed at all those who engage with local government.
