This presentation will inform the current and future challenges of the Public Works Authority (PWA) and Developers to achieve the best practice of dewatering activities, and to understand permits requirements to achieve compliance with Environmental Protection Law in the State of Qatar.

GUEST SPEAKER Dr. Ghazi El Sherif, Environmental Engineering Expert, Public Works Authority
Dr. Ghazi has been working in PWA since 2004. His responsibility involves coordinating infrastructures projects with the provision of environmental management services during design, construction and operation stages for the successful compliance with the environmental standards as well as for sustainable development.
Dr. Ghazi has more than 30 years practical experience and has published 35 publications in international conferences and scientific international journals. Recently, he participated in the development of the new environmental standards for Qatar environmental protection executive articles.
