New green travel and transport show this month
London is gearing up to host the UK’s first major sustainable travel and transport event, Eco2 Transport. Taking place at Earls Court 2 from 16-18 November, the free event will showcase innovation in eco-transport and travel, to give public and private sector employers and employees the scoop on lowering carbon emissions, maximising efficiency and reducing costs.

Eco2 Transport will bring together under one roof the leading thinkers, manufacturers and advocates of the sustainable transport and travel sector.

Highlights among the 95+ strong seminar schedule include Transport Minister Norman Baker; Lord Paul Drayson, the former Minister for Science and Innovation who claimed the first British victory for a bio-ethanol fueled race car; and electric car enthusiast and media personality Robert Llewellyn, of Red Dwarf and Scrapheap Challenge fame.

Around 100 exhibitors will showcase products and services from car-sharing clubs, eco-driver training, and cycle2work schemes, to biofuels, web-meeting technology and the ‘Gutsi’ electric commuter service recently launched to deliver Londoners from home to work in style.

Visitors can even get behind the wheel – or under the bonnet – of some of the latest electric, hybrid and hydrogen vehicles at the Eco2 Transport Test Drive Centre.
