Ecology in highway design and maintenance

Highway Engineers play an important role in understanding and protecting local ecology through developing and maintaining infrastructure projects within the Highway Network. This talk will set out the legislative requirements on Engineers but also ecological mitigation measures that can be used, such as green bridges etc, to not only protect but encourage biodiversity on and around the Highway Network.
