The Energy Saving Trust delivers low carbon transport programmes on behalf of the UK and devolved governments. They have completed research into the uptake of low carbon cars under different policy scenarios and further research into whole life costs of electric vehicles. The presentation to the CHIT will explain how the move towards EVs will change the vehicle landscape and how the Energy Saving Trust intends to play a role in this.
Caroline Watson is Transport Strategy Manager at the Energy Saving Trust. She is author of Revolution: the Road to a Low Carbon Future which explores the uptake of low carbon vehicle technologies under different policy scenarios. Previous research projects Caroline has completed include Flying in the Face of Climate Change; the paradox of climate concerned frequent flyers. Before joining the Energy Saving Trust Caroline worked for the Environment Agency on Transport Policy and was a Researcher in the House of Commons.
