CIHT East Midlands is excited to offer this webinar on electrifying the road to net zero with Dr Frank Awuah, Highway EV Charging Senior Engineer and Brian Carroll, Pre-Construction & Design Manager at ESB ecars.
This talk will explore the transformative role of EV charging infrastructure in decarbonising the UK’s surface transport sector. Drawing on real-world insights and a case study from London, it will offer a practical and strategic perspective on the challenges, opportunities, and innovations shaping the EV landscape.
Technical insights into infrastructure challenges, consumer behaviour, and policy-driven solutions will be presented. A key focus will be on ensuring accessible EV charging for individuals with reduced mobility, especially within constrained urban environments like London.
The talk is aimed at professionals across transport, energy, local government, and infrastructure sectors - alongside EV charging enthusiasts and advocates - particularly planners, policymakers, engineers, and sustainability leads involved in EV deployment and decarbonisation efforts.
