Stakeholder engagement is often misunderstood as consultation, a box to tick before decisions are made. In the Middle East, where projects move at an exceptional pace and involve multi-layered governance, it is the foundation of successful delivery. This session will explore the evolving role of stakeholder engagement across transport, infrastructure, and masterplanning projects, from gaining authority buy-in and aligning competing interests to ensuring projects reflect local context and long-term value.
Participants will gain practical insight into navigating stakeholder ecosystems across the UAE and KSA, building trust and transparency with authorities, and applying engagement techniques that support more sustainable outcomes.
This seminar, hosted by the CIHT UAE Group, will introduce stakeholder engagement as a professional practice, show how it can be integrated into project planning and policy making, and highlight regional and international case studies.
