FINNINGLEY & ROSSINGTON ROUTE REGENERATION SCHEME (FARRRS)

Speaker: Neil Firth Doncaster MBC

FARRRS is a new link road to the south of Doncaster and is a “Gateway to the Sheffield City Region”. It will provide access to proposed development areas at Robin Hood Doncaster Airport to enable it to increase its capacity to 10million passengers by 2030 as well as the proposed inland report (iPort) – a £300m development to create the UKs largest port and logistics complex. The scheme delivers many social and economic benefits by: providing better transport links; encouraging investment in the Region; linking people to jobs; reducing local journey times; improving the local environment. The scheme provides a direct link to junction 3 of M18.
