Fawley Hill Railway & Museum Visit
Date: Sunday 2nd June 2013
Time: 12.00 – 5.00pm
Cost: £15 per head for adults, £7 per head for children aged 10-15 and free for those aged 9 and under
Bring your own picnic, family and friends for a sociable, fun day out on our 4th visit to Sir William McAlpine’s private Fawley Hill Railway and Museum near Henley. The museum is not open to the general public, so this is an opportunity not to be missed!
Fawley is home to a completely rebuilt country station, a signal box, and many other railway architectural features recovered from McAlpine contracts. There is a mile of standard gauge single track railway with an 0-6-0 tank engine pulling an open truck and a brake van offering rides every 30 minutes. There is also an extensive museum of railway artefacts, a collection of Rolls Royce cars, and two model railways at 0 gauge.
How to Book a Place
Advance booking is essential for this visit. Applications for tickets (and payment by cheque) should therefore be made to us by 12th April 2013. For further information and details of how to apply please contact Emily White at emily.white@jacobs.com.
There are a limited number of places for this visit, if there is an oversubscription a ballot will be held. All applicants will be responded to and unsuccessful applicants will have their cheques returned.
