There are lots of warm words spoken and written about Vision Zero, but delivery requires a profound shift in our ambition and understanding of the scale of the challenge. It also requires a lot more honesty about how we should manage our road network for the future and what trade-offs will be needed to get us there.
Mark will explore the topic and identify how you can elevate your vision zero deliver through five keys areas of thought and practice.
We hope will be a challenging and engaging session, we hope you will be left inspired and ready to ask some tricky questions!

Mark founded City Infinity in 2017 and through which, he provides bespoke sustainable mobility design and planning services. He has over 30-years of civil engineering experience in the public and private sectors, including traffic and highway engineering, maintenance, bridge management, development management, and consulting.
Sustainable mobility is Mark’s area of professional interest, especially the small-scale, local schemes which can make a big difference to how people move. He has extensive knowledge of design details and how street features fit together, which often makes the difference between good and great schemes; it’s also key to ensuring designs are accessible and inclusive to as wide a range of people as possible, as well as influencing user behaviour.
He is a proponent of getting out of the office to look at street and places to watch how people interact with infrastructure, because it gives real insight into how design can support people’s mobility.
