FM Conway are providing CIHT South East members the opportunity to undertake an exclusive site visit of their Asphalt Plant and Bitumen terminal.
Imperial wharf bitumen terminal was commissioned in the summer of 2014, and this Thames side facility saves 450,000 truck road miles every year securing pen grades for FM Conway’s asphalt plants, utilising their own tanker to deliver at off peak times.
FM Conway is the only UK manufacturer with its own bitumen terminal. The terminal has storage capable of holding 8,000 tonnes of bitumen and future proofing to handle in excess of 120 kt per year, blending Penetration grades of bitumen & Polymer Modified Binders
