Although Foamed Asphalt is a proven surfacing product which sits within the SHW, there sometimes seems to be a reluctance to specify or use it. As a recycled product it offers significant environmental and sustainability advantages in terms of use of resources, lorry movements and energy use. It can reduce cost and deal with the issue of old tar bound materials.

 

Speaker: Craig Germeney began his career with Tarmac in 1999 before joining Toppesfield in 2007. He is currently Operations Director with overall responsibility for the national operations of the UK’s largest independent surfacing contractor. Craig is a member of the CIHT.
