As it is International Women’s Day and International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in March we are planning a discussion about diversity within Highways and Transportation and how perceptions can be changed regarding education, retention of staff, gender and race, pay-gap and more.
The presentation will include information on AFBE-UK, which promotes higher achievements in education and engineering particularly among people from black and minority ethnicity (BME) backgrounds.
This webinar is open to everyone, both CIHT members and non-members.
Mara-Tafadzwa Makoni, Consultant, Complex Systems, P.A. Consulting & Corporate Partnerships Lead for AFBE-UK
Mara is currently a Consult at PA Consulting working within their Complex Systems group. She has international experience (USA, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, SA) and over 10 years of professional experience in operational monitoring and due diligence advisory across sustainable development, renewable energy and transport.
She is a qualified Systems Engineer who has managed and implemented complex projects in energy and transport, from feasibility to completion. Mara serves on the AFBE-UK executive board and is the Corporate Partnerships Lead for the organization.
