With the demolition now entering its final stages, this is likely to be one of the last opportunities to see the remaining structure before the flyover disappears from the Gateshead skyline altogether.

Hosted by BAM Nuttall, the visit will give attendees an opportunity to hear directly from the project team about the challenges involved in delivering this complex demolition project, including the engineering, planning, safety and logistical considerations involved in working at one of the busiest locations on the local highway network.

The Gateshead Flyover has been a familiar part of the local transport network for more than five decades, making this a particularly interesting opportunity to see a major piece of North East highway infrastructure during the final stages of its removal.
