Greater London Branch Annual General Meeting 2012

A Greater London Branch Event

Venue: CIHT Headquarters, 119 Britannia Walk, London N1 7JE

Nearest Tube: Old Street

5.30 for 6.00 pm (AGM Starts abut 7.15 pm.)

The AGM will be preceded by a Presentation-

Engineers Against Poverty (How Road and Transport Projects Assist in Reducing Poverty in Developing Countries.)

Presentation Speakers: Kit Mitchell; Lily Ryan-Collins; Petter Matthews

Engineers Against Poverty (EAP) was established over ten years ago by some of the UK’s leading professional engineering institutions. It has since become one of the leading agencies working in the field of engineering and international development and it is widely respected for its innovative approach to global challenges. EAP’s Executive Director Petter Matthews will explain how EAP rose to prominence and illustrate its current impact in the context of its role in leading the International Secretariat of the Construction Sector Transparency (CoST) Initiative.

The Presentation will last about an hour and there will be time for questions. It will be followed by the Greater London Branch Annual General Meeting. Those wishing to leave after the presentation may, of course, do so but we hope Members will stay to take part in the AGM.
