Heysham to M6 Link Road
A team of Costain Engineers will describe the challenges of building the Heysham to M6 Link. An overview of the scheme will be followed by details of construction of the bridges over the West Coast Main Line, the River Lune and Halton Road and how the roadworks team has managed to move 1,000,000m3 of muck in the first year. Major junction works have presented a further challenge, together with the diversion of 20,000m of statutory undertakers' apparatus. The talk will end with a Question and Answer session with the presenters, Paul Snape, Project Supervisor from Lancashire County Council and Andrew Langley Project Director from Costain.
