Can we really have innovation with sustainability and at a lower cost? This session focuses on the benefits innovation can deliver and provide examples of how all three can be achieved.

Brian Kent, National Technical Director at Tarmac
With 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, Brian began his career with an independent materials testing consultant in 1987 before moving into Local Authority employment specialising in Materials Technology and Quality Assurance. Following his formative years, Brian has spent the bulk of his career occupying various senior technical positions within the Operational and Contracting arms of Tarmac and now occupies the position of National Technical Director. As well as formulating and overseeing national technical strategy development and implementation, Brian also leads a team of specialists focusing on process and product R&D, solution innovation and industry challenges.
