How to become a CIHT STEM ambassador

If yes, then please join CIHTs Professional Development Officer, John Hall, STEM Learning's, Jemma Grindlay and STEM Ambassador, James Bullen, for this free STEM ambassador focused webinar.

The webinar is free for all to attend and will be taking place 11:00am - 12:00pm on Thursday 15 September 2022. The webinar will consist of a 50-minute presentation which will be followed by 10-minutes of Q&A.

Synopsis

This webinar will provide you wish some great resources, support and guidance on how to become a STEM Ambassador and what resources are available to ambassadors. 

CIHT's Professional Development Officer, John Hall will be joined by Jemma Grindlay from STEM Learning and STEM Ambassador, James Bullen for this free STEM ambassador focused webinar.

Information on Speakers

 

John Hall, Professional Development Officer, CIHT

John has held positions in the Education and Professional Development departments at two Professional Engineering Institutions. He has supported mentoring programs for both and comes to this webinar with over 5 years experience. 

John also manages the annual CPD audit process for CIHT and the End Point Assessment program for apprentices looking to receive their professional qualification of Engineering Technician (EngTech) on the level 3 Transport Planning Technician Apprenticeship.

 

James Bullen, Project Lead in Transport for West Midlands (TfWM’s) Innovation team

James is CIHT North West’s Young Professional Chair and has always taken an interest in developing the next generation of transport professionals through guest lecturing, career days, school visits and home-recorded videos sharing what he does!

James is keen to encourage other transport professionals into STEM ambassadorship, and promoting the amazing work that our industry does to young minds.

 

 

 

Jemma is the STEM Ambassador Programme Manager for the Merseyside and Cheshire STEM Ambassador Hub.

As part of a network of 17 hubs across the UK, All About STEM manages the STEM Ambassador hub in the Merseyside and Cheshire region, connecting young people, teachers, and STEM professionals to support learning, raise aspirations and illuminate careers in STEM.
