A CIHT London led presentation about how to retrofit SUDS system in an urban environment. The event will show how utilisation of rain gardens in London streets can contribute to lower car emissions and improve the public realm.
A demonstration of how a WSP multidisciplinary team provided consultation through to delivery, of retrofitted Sustainable urban Drainage Systems (SuDS).
The presentation will cover; The London Low Emission Neighbourhoods as part of London’s efforts to improve the environment, how SuDS play a part in climate adaptation of our towns and cities, the additional benefits to the environment and mental health. The design process, liaison and local authority coordination as well as implementation challenges and practical lessons learnt will also be covered.
