This webinar, organised by CIHT Yorkshire & the Humber, will concentrate on one section of the Hull Cycle Lanes Rollout, carried out as part of the DfT’s Emergency Active Travel Fund programme, and will give an insight into the considerations during the design phase.
This event is open to both members and non-members of CIHT. It will be of particular interest to involved in design and implementation of active travel schemes.
Andy Mayo, Director, Local Transport Projects
Andy worked in a variety of public sector traffic and transport roles before co-founding Local Transport Projects in 2004. Since then he has been involved in a wide range of projects for private and public sector clients.
Andy leads on the company’s active travel projects, working for local authorities throughout the UK. He sits on the DfT’s Cycling & Walking Infrastructure Group and was on the advisory panel for LTN1/20, Cycle Infrastructure Design. He is also delivering training to local authorities throughout England, on the use of LTN1/20. He is a Fellow of the Society of Road Safety Auditors.
Outside of work Andy enjoys all types of cycling, especially mountain biking and is also a keen motorcyclist. He is a trustee of R-evolution bicycle recycling charity and an independent director for the MCIA. He enjoys spending time gardening, messing with his vintage VW camper and trying to outwit his two Bassett Hounds.
