Innovative Bicycle Infrastructure, Dutch State of the Art

Dutch Engineering firms have been called upon to help develop the UK’s cycling infrastructure and get more people cycling across the country. Senior Transport Planner Peter Siemensma will present on the topic of ‘Innovative Cycle Infrastructure, Dutch State of the Art’.
 
He has worked for Dutch Engineering firms and has collaborated with CROW to enhance and develop a cycling policy in the Netherlands. This presentation will explore where the Dutch came from in the development of their cycling infrastructure, what it looks like today, and some of the latest major cycling innovations.
 
Peter Siemensma is an experienced urban planner with a keen interest in cycling infrastructure firmly believes to improve cycling infrastructure in the UK the Dutch approach is certainly one which should be looked to as an example of success.
 
This is a free event open to all (members and non-members).
