Join CIHT colleagues for an in-person knowledge sharing event bringing together key insights and lessons from the PIARC Winter Congress, with a focus on the practical challenges and emerging solutions facing transport authorities and practitioners. 

Attendees will hear reflections from Congress sessions, technical committees and international case studies, with time for discussion, questions and shared learning. 

The event will provide a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues, exchange experiences and consider how global thinking can inform regional and national transport priorities.

• Decarbonisation - approaches to reducing carbon emissions in winter services and highway operations, including alternative fuels, low-carbon materials and smarter asset and fleet management 
• Resilience and Adaptation - strategies to prepare road networks for increasingly extreme and unpredictable weather events, embedding climate resistance into planning, design and operations
• Winter Maintenance - advances in winter service delivery, decision-support tools, forecasting and operational practices to improve safety, efficiency and network reliability
