Landscape Protection: Designing in Hostile Vehicle Mitigation

Landscape Protection: Designing in Hostile Vehicle Mitigation
Following events in recent years, the threat of international terrorism has risen to unprecedented levels. A key element of the government's strategy to combat these threats is to strengthen the UK's physical protection against vehicle-borne attacks through encouraging the early adoption of counter-terrorism principles in the design and planning process. This seminar introduces the threats and potential solutions, focusing on hostile vehicle mitigation and the BSI PAS 68 and IWA 14.1 standards for vehicle security barriers. The seminar highlights the key considerations in counter-terrorism design and how protective measures can be incorporated into landscapes without compromising design quality.

Paul Haggerty has spent the last 8 years at Marshalls dealing with prestigious projects both here in the UK and overseas. As Business Development Manager for Landscape Protection Paul fully understands the complexities of selecting and installing hostile vehicle mitigation measures, and this knowledge has allowed him to provide clients with workable cost effective products and solutions.
