Considering the requirements for EV infrastructure, this essentially presents the IET guide to highway electrical street furniture and takes those considering such installations through the process from start to finish, highlighting key areas that have to be considered as well as national / EU wide infrastructure issues that could prevent to deployment.
ILP GN22, a new guidance document just published through the Institution of Lighting Professionals that looks at the approach for determining the condition of lighting columns (defined as minor structures) that support luminaires, CCTV, signals, signs and so forth not only in the highway sector but also the rail, retail, industrial and other sectors. The new document was developed based upon the requirements of good asset and risk management as considered by the Well Managed Highway Infrastructure code of practice
